Update: All pre-orders have been shipped. New orders will be sent on or after the 12th of December. European shipments will take longer to arrive than domestic. Its also Christmas and storm Darragh caused delays at shipping ports in particular.
We are excited to be part of this James Hoffmann Decaf Project. We've long been fans of James and his work in the coffee industry, so to get the chance to actively participate in this feels like getting tickets to your favourite band and concert. Funny enough, when the project went live for Roasters in the EU we were literally clicking refresh on the web page to buy these. As soon as they went live we scrambled to buy them.
There are four coffees in this project. Please note that one of the coffees is not a decaffeinated coffee and three are. We have been lucky enough to get first tastes of these coffees and one of the decafs in particular has blown us away. It's so so good. We cant wait to share them with you.
Like other roasters who were lucky enough to be part of this exclusive project, we were asked to decide how to size up each of our bags with a rough suggested guide of 60g to ensure there was enough for cupping and maybe a little extra for another coffee. We have decided to go with the suggested 60g bag size. In total you will get 60g x 5 = 300g - James' four from the project, plus one bag of our own decaf.
Timeline for this project:
- Packs pre-ordered between now and the 4th of December will be prepared and shipped out on or before the 5th of December depending on volumes.
- Sunday December 15th: The live tasting (3pm GMT) with James Hoffmann (more info about this will be announced on his Youtube channel)
After the 5th of December you will have missed the official deadline, but will still be able to buy these packs provided we have not sold out of them. If you order other items with this pre-order pack, then please note that everything will be sent out together. - 1 Bag of La Virgen (Non-Decaf): A pure, unprocessed washed coffee.
- 1 Bag La Virgen – Swiss Water® Decaf: Decaffeinated using the Swiss Water® Process, a gentle, chemical-free method that preserves the coffee’s full flavors while removing caffeine.
- 1 Bag La Virgen – Ethyl Acetate Decaf: Decaffeinated by Coffein Co., this process uses ethyl acetate to create a smooth and rich decaf experience.
- 1 Bag La Virgen – Carbonic Natural Decaf: Decaffeinated with CR3-Kaffeeveredelung’s subcritical CO2 process.
- 1 bag Colombia - La Serrania Decaf (Our decaf) Fully Washed & E.A Sugar Cane Sugar Decaffeination
All coffees in this 5 bag pack are roasted by us. We plan to aim for a filter or light espresso roast so they shine on cupping.
