This is a single farm lot, which is exciting for us to find as only a small percentage of Ethiopian coffee is currently sold this way. This coffee arrived to us in vacuum sealed bags inside small boxes. Straight away you can see the care the producers had for this coffee. This is definitely a fun coffee for us. It's approachable, but interesting. It's also a limited run as we only acquired 4 small boxes.
Some additional information we obtained from Belco on this coffee: Khalid (the farmer) is particularly attached to this farm, where he grew up, and which he has been managing for several years with the same dedication as his father and grandfather before him. It is a family business, so he also works with his brother, and both are constantly seeking to improve the quality of their coffee. They are particularly mindful of preserving the natural local environment. Khalid is well aware that this natural heritage is what makes his product quite so unique.
