These guys have done a super job with this coffee and have performed really well in the Cup of Excellence over the years along with a 4th best Guatemalan coffee achievement in 2015. So you know straight off the bat that its coming from a great place. We sourced this through our friend Keith who owns a small Irish green coffee importing business called Green Coffee Imports. He got this directly from the farm.

The farm was bought by Florencio Argueta in 1954, planting Typica, Bourbon, and Maragogype. After his passing, the farm was inherited to the second generation, his three sons, Alvaro, Erwin, and Magnolia, who managed the farm until 2000. The farm was then split between the siblings and Erwin decided to add Caturra, Catuai, and Pache to the farm. Erwin passed away in 2004 and this piece was passed on to Erwin Humberto (his son and current owner) becoming the third generation. Erwin Jr. named the farm Bella Elizabeth in honor of his daughter Ana Elizabeth. Erwin loves the farm and has found the way to learn and manage the farm in the right direction. He says that his best learning experiences have been making mistakes. Besides exploring varieties, Erwin is also exploring processes, producing some honey and naturals.
