Tasting notes: Ice cream, orange zest
Process: Washed (Farmed organic)
Roast style: Espresso & Filter
Character: Smooth dry sweetness, creamy
We are strong fans of this coffee. Its got very typical Colombian vibes going on with lovely bright sweet notes that work especially well as a black coffee, filter, batch, Americano. We tested this at 1 week, 2 weeks and 3 weeks and theres no doubt this one is significantly better at weeks 2-3. Its just delish, but definitely needs at least 5 days. I would argue most coffees do anyway, but this one gets really good results if you can hold out two weeks after roast date.
Usually when we buy coffee its from a farm that can produce at least 5-10 bags of coffee. In this case the coffee is from a coffee collective called Cafe Occidente, which ensures the farmers have access to support all year. With this coffee five farmers with very small farms combined their output to create this and what a brilliant result they have achieved.
